Listen to Chris’ Story

Cee and I were tossing around ideas for this post and she suggested that I write the story of how I became involved with the Grief Recovery Method and why I’m so passionate about it.  I thought that it would be better if you HEARD it from me instead of just reading it on the page.  So here you go…

Hugs and blessings,

  1. Wow! Chris, your story, your voice… Right after I am done hearing it, I wanted to hear it again. Would you consider to make videos?
Thanks for doing what you guys are doing. I see hopes for many.
    Have a great day.

    1. Thank you, Helen. Yes, I am thinking about doing videos but need to explore how to do that. There are so many things to get done when you start up a new business, so videos are about in the middle of my list. I’ll get there!
It was so good to hear from you. Lots of virtual hugs.

      1. Chris, you probably know this already… have you heard of SCORE? Many years ago, I used their service (free), and had learned a lot from the counselor who was assigned to my case. It’s worth checking it out if you haven’t.
        Lots of virtual hugs back.

  2. I love your story and how you presented it. You are so right: everyone we see has a loss or losses hidden deep within. You can see it on their faces, you find evidence of it in the statistics about the enormous number of people on anti-depressants and illegal drugs, trying unsuccessfully to find relief. The GRM preaches: you can’t get over it, suppress it, go around it; you must go THROUGH grief. Thanks for this beautiful blog today.

  3. Thank you for sharing your story. It is interesting to hear there are other ways of dealing with grief. I belong to a group that supports survivors and victims of truck crashes. There’s a lot of grief among our ranks. Sounds like I need to find out more about this option.

    1. That sounds like an interesting group, Dawn. I can only imagine the grief your friends would have. It sounds like an unexpected and violent life experience. The Grief Recovery Method would work well for all of you, I would think. It’s been used effectively on all sorts of trauma survivors. Let me know what part of the country you are in and I will see if I can get you hooked up with someone.
